Job summary

INEOS Aromatics in Wando, South Carolina seeks an OSBL (Outside Battery Limits) Superintendent I to lead utilities and waste treatment operations and coordinate with the Shipping Team. The role emphasizes safety, process discipline, and achieving plant performance targets under the Operations Manager.

The candidate will mentor Shift Supervisors, ensure operator qualifications, and drive cross-functional collaboration across departments for consistent execution of procedures.

Qualifications

• Minimum 15 years industrial chemical operations experience.
• Minimum 5 years leadership experience (supervisor, maintenance coordinator, specialist, superintendent).
• Ability to become the site subject matter expert for Marine Terminal operations.
• Ability to learn and comply with wastewater regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead and champion safety performance by setting expectations, conducting risk assessments, investigations, audits, safety observations, and corrective actions.
• Drive safety and operational planning and execution, including auditing isolation checklists and procedures.
• Maintain high standards for asset care, equipment reliability, and continuous improvement.
• Lead the Unit Manufacturing Team to achieve goals and scorecard objectives.
• Develop clear team objectives, accountability, and performance standards; coach and manage shift supervisors.
