Job summary
K2 Space is seeking an OS Platform Engineer in Los Angeles to develop and evolve the core OS platform for real-time spacecraft control. Ideal candidates will work on mission-critical code, maintain a secure boot chain, and create robust tools for quality code deployment. The compensation range is $160k - $200k per year with a comprehensive benefits package. The position is ideal for a motivated individual excited about contributing to a groundbreaking space startup. A bachelor's degree in a STEM field or equivalent experience is essential.
Qualifications
5+ years of professional experience in software engineering or a relevant bachelor's degree.
Development experience in Rust, C/C++, Python, VHDL, or SystemVerilog.
Responsibilities
Create software architecture for real-time, fault tolerant control of a 20kW+ spacecraft.
Maintain custom RT Linux distribution for internally developed computers.
Perform data analysis and anomaly investigation to identify and resolve software bugs.
