The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a Prosthetist/Orthotist to supervise and manage large laboratories and ensure compliance with accreditation standards. The role includes responsibilities such as overseeing staff performance, managing laboratory services, and addressing the needs of complex patient conditions.

The prosthetist/orthotist at this level serves as the supervisor and laboratory manager for large laboratories or multiple satellite laboratories - reporting to the Chief of the Central Fabrication Unit. This assignment includes serving as a VISN resource/consultant for orthotics and prosthetics; and performing or overseeing testing and evaluation of design concepts. Incumbent will supervise a service of significant complexity - such as Central Fabrication Unit.
