Job summary

Shriners Children's Chicago seeks a Manager, Orthotics & Prosthetics to lead daily operations, oversee clinical, technical and administrative staff, and ensure quality devices per physician prescriptions.

The role requires ABC certification in orthotics and prosthetics, NCOPE residencies, and at least five years of hospital or medical-office experience; strong leadership and CAD/OPIE skills are essential.

Competitive compensation is based on experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree together with ABC approved Orthotic and Prosthetic certificate program and the successful completion of NCOPE residencies in both O&P.
• Minimum five years of clinical and technical experience in Orthotics and Prosthetics.
• Current American Board for Certification in Orthotics and Prosthetics and licensure (when needed) required.
• Experience working in a hospital or medical office with insurance authorization.

Responsibilities

• Oversees clinical, technical, and administrative staff to fulfill professional responsibilities with patient confidentiality.
• Plans, directs and manages day-to-day department operations and staff workload.
• Demonstrates proficiency in OPIE (O&P Business Management Software).
• Coordinates with the Fabrication Center (Tampa) for all custom fabrication to ensure safety and quality.
