Job summary

Shriners Children's is actively seeking an Orthotics & Prosthetics Billing Specialist to manage O&P billing workflows, process EOBs and statements, and reconcile payments. This role requires collaborating with care teams to ensure accurate billing aligned with payer requirements and internal procedures.

Responsibilities include auditing billing data, addressing patient and payer inquiries, and supporting compliance with SHC policies.

Qualifications

• 3 yrs of healthcare billing, claims and insurance experience (preferred).
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Experience interacting with patients and providers via phone and email.

Responsibilities

• Process O&P Billing to third party payers and patients with supporting docs.
• Process patient statements, enter data, post transactions, verify input accuracy.
• Respond to patient and payer inquiries by phone and email regarding billing issues.
• Follow up on submitted claims, monitor unpaid claims, initiate tracers, resubmit claims as needed.
• Balance daily batch payments and reconcile payments to ledgers.
• Collaborate with departments to ensure Billing Tool accuracy.
