Shriners Children’s Portland is seeking a full-time O&P Assistant to measure, cast, modify, fabricate and fit prosthetic and orthotic devices under indirect supervision. You will ensure timely documentation in the OPIE EMR and guide the technical staff in fabrication to meet delivery dates.
Qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED and college-level coursework in anatomy and physiology, general physics, and medical terminology.

The O&P Assistant is responsible for the measurement, casting, modification, fabrication and fitting of prosthetic and orthotic devices under the indirect supervision of an ABC Certified Practitioner. Additionally, they are responsible for the timely and compliant patient documentation utilizing OPIE EMR system. The Prosthetic/Orthotic Assistant is responsible to monitor their WIP and direct the technical staff in fabrication of specific orthotic and prosthetic devices following an organized and orderly work flow with reasonable delivery dates of the orthosis/prosthesis to patients.
