Job summary

Northwest Eye in Woodbury is seeking an Orthoptist to perform advanced data collection to support diagnoses and treatment planning. You will assist in training staff and handle a high-volume patient flow in a dynamic eye care environment.

The role requires strong diagnostic and rehabilitation skills for binocular vision disorders, with emphasis on accuracy and patient communication. Compensation starts at $34.00–$38.00/hour, with full benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• BA or BS degree preferred.
• American Orthoptic Council certification is required.
• CPR certification must be maintained.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic and therapeutic assessment of strabismus, amblyopia, diplopia and binocular dysfunction.
• Assess binocular vision using stereo tests and ocular alignment using prism/cover methods.
• Develop treatment plans for amblyopia and strabismus with referring ophthalmologists.
• Assist in in-office procedures and perform advanced lensometry and refraction when needed.
• Communicate prescriptions to pharmacies and document in patient charts.
• Maintain equipment calibration and work with clinical team to ensure patient flow.
