Job summary

You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support education, quality improvement, and program development. The position requires BSN and RN licensure with at least 2 years in Orthopedics, BLS within 30 days, and strong communication and EMR skills.

Qualifications

• RN licensure (state-specific) with active Nursing license.
• BSN degree required; 2+ years in Orthopedics as an RN.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire (AHA).
• Strong communication, organizational, and critical-thinking skills.
• Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) and data management systems.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate care across physicians, nursing staff, ancillary staff, and patients/families to ensure continuity of care.
• Guide patients through diagnosis, surgical treatment, and follow-up to optimize outcomes.
• Schedule referrals, appointments, and follow-ups to support longitudinal care.
• Apply the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) to provide direct patient care as needed.
• Develop and document individualized, patient-centered care plans.
• Deliver holistic care including education and psychosocial support.
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, options, and resources.
• Develop educational materials tailored to patient needs.
• Support program development, quality initiatives, and policy implementation.
• Monitor quality metrics and patient outcomes; participate in outreach and multidisciplinary clinics.
