Job description

We are seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Pediatric Orthopedic Surgeon to provide expert care for pediatric patients. The ideal candidate will be fellowship-trained in pediatric orthopedic surgery and experienced in treating a full range of conditions, including trauma cases.

• Provide 24/7 call coverage one week per month.
• Perform surgical procedures in the OR.
• Conduct clinic consultations and manage pediatric orthopedic cases.
• Treat patients aged 17 and under with a variety of orthopedic conditions.
• Collaborate with a Physician Assistant (PA) first assist during weekday daytime hours (M-F).
• Utilize EPIC EMR for charting and patient documentation.

Pediatric Orthopedic Surgery Expertise Ability to perform a full range of pediatric orthopedic procedures, including trauma cases
Surgical Proficiency Skilled in OR procedures, including fracture management, deformity correction, and joint preservation techniques
Emergency Response Ability to provide rapid, effective decision-making in critical pediatric trauma situations
Collaboration & Teamwork Works well with PAs, nurses, and hospital staff to ensure high-quality patient care
Patient-Centered Care Strong commitment to compassionate and effective communication with pediatric patients and families
EMR Proficiency Experience with EPIC or similar electronic medical records systems
Call Management Ability to handle 24/7 call coverage, responding within 30 minutes
Time Management Efficiently balances OR duties, clinic consultations, and on-call responsibilities
Diagnostic Skills Proficiency in assessing and diagnosing pediatric musculoskeletal conditions
Procedural Expertise Experience with casting, splinting, joint injections, and surgical interventions
