The Children’s Hospital of Illinois, a Level 1 Trauma Center, is seeking a pediatric orthopedic surgeon for a rapidly growing practice. This role is ideal for an individual interested in developing a general pediatric orthopedic surgical and non-surgical practice, with opportunities to specialize in areas such as clubfoot care, neuromuscular conditions, and spinal deformity.
The hospital serves as the primary pediatric teaching facility for the University of Illinois College of Medicine in Peoria, IL, allowing the candidate to apply for associate or assistant professor positions.
Supported by a broad referral network of 100 pediatric subspecialists at CHOI, over 157 OSF Medical Group practice locations across Illinois, and more than 1,000 physicians at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center, the practice offers extensive collaborative opportunities.
The facility is equipped with advanced technology, including O-Arm navigation, Medtronic Stealth navigation, ROSA, and MazrX, supporting a high volume of complex cases. Comprehensive support services include fellowship-trained pediatric anesthesiologists, radiologists, child life specialists, neonatologists, pediatric intensivists/hospitalists, and Physician Assistant support in the OR.
Candidates must be board certified or eligible in orthopedics, hold a fellowship in pediatric orthopedic surgery, be eligible for an Illinois medical license, and demonstrate strong teaching and interpersonal skills.

Required: Doctorate degree, medical license in Illinois, board certification or eligibility in orthopedics, ability to obtain and maintain hospital privileges, and eligibility for Medicare, Medicaid, and other federal programs. DEA licensure for narcotics prescribing if applicable.
Preferred: Demonstrated ability to provide patient-centered care aligned with patient needs and goals.
