Job description

Hospital employed General Orthopedic Surgery opportunity located in the picturesque SW West Virginia area nestled within the Appalachian Mountains.

Qualifications:

• Board Certified or Board Eligible Orthopedic Surgeon or Fellowship trained if willing to do general cases

Practice Details:

• Growing practice in an existing hospital-employed clinic
• Schedule: Mon-Fri, 40 hours a week
• Clinic call: Providers take call for their own patients, approximately 25 patients per day
• Hospital call: 1:2, with a minimum of 10 days required
• Additional call pay: Starting on day 11, averaging 13 calls per week, with about 5 calls requiring coming in
• OR days: 2 days a week, with potential to increase based on volume

Procedures and Growth:

• Procedures include hips, knees, shoulders, trigger finger, carpal tunnel, fractures, joint replacements, and arthroscopic surgeries
• Once volume supports, staff may consider adding an APP upon ramp-up

Compensation and Benefits:
