Job summary

Mercy Orthopedics - Whiteside in Springfield, Missouri, is seeking a PRN Medical Assistant to support physicians and staff with clerical processing, patient prep, scheduling, and basic lab tasks.

You will perform patient care activities and maintain records, while upholding Mercy values and compassionate care. CPR certification within 3 months of hire date is required, with opportunities to grow within a caring team.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED.
• Experience: Must have computer experience and good communication skills.
• Certifications: CPR certification within 3 months of hire date.

Responsibilities

• Assist in a variety of treatments, medications, taking vital signs, maintaining records, recording test results and office procedures.
• React calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
• Interpret, adapt and apply guidelines and policies.
• Communicate clearly and establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, staff and the public.
• Operate multi-line phone, fax and computer.
