Job summary

Baptist Health System, Inc. is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide direct patient care in an outpatient clinic setting. You will perform vital sign collection, medication reconciliation, patient history, and support for EPIC EHR and scheduling.

Depending on competency, EKGs, phlebotomy, injections, and related duties may be added. Strong communication and organization are essential to ensure smooth patient flow and efficient care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1+ year experience as Medical Assistant with direct patient care.
• Graduate of accredited MA program with hands-on patient experience.
• Clinical competency assessment and MA orientation upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Obtain vital signs and document patient history.
• Assist with clinical procedures (e.g., injections, EKGs, phlebotomy).
• Manage EPIC EMR and coordinate patient flow; schedule appointments.
• Process medication requests and prior authorizations.
• Coordinate tests and procedures for patients.
• Maintain on-site presence to support providers and care delivery.
