Tri-County Orthopedic & Sports Medicine is seeking a meticulous Certified Medical Coder/Biller to ensure accurate coding and efficient billing for orthopedic services in New Jersey. The role emphasizes CPT/ICD coding, claims submission, and close coordination with physicians.

The candidate will manage medical records, stay updated on coding guidelines, and leverage EMR/EHR systems to support revenue cycle management and compliant documentation.

Qualifications

• CPC/CCS certification or equivalent required.
• Experience with medical billing and coding in healthcare, orthopedic/sports medicine preferred.
• Strong CPT, ICD-9/ICD-10 knowledge and coding proficiency.
• Familiarity with medical records management and insurance claim processing.
• Proficient in EMR/EHR systems and healthcare software.
• Excellent understanding of medical terminology, billing procedures and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Review and accurately code medical records using CPT, ICD-9/ICD-10 to ensure proper reimbursement.
• Prepare and submit insurance claims promptly while verifying coverage details to minimize denials.
• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of medical terminology, coding guidelines, and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance.
• Collaborate with physicians and staff to clarify documentation discrepancies or incomplete records.
• Utilize EMR/EHR systems for documentation, coding and billing tasks.
• Stay current with updates in medical coding standards, policies and healthcare regulations.
