Job summary

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
• Background in referrals, denials, and/or authorization processes.
• Working knowledge of coding conventions (ICD-9-CM, CPT & E/M) as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Reviews, analyzes, and interprets complex medical information for coding and abstraction.
• Monitors expirations of referrals and verifies insurance updates prior to procedures.
