Job description

We are seeking a Permanent Orthopaedic Joint Surgeon in Michigan.

Permanent Orthopaedic Joint Surgeon

Position Type: Permanent
Specialty: Physician Surgery - Orthopedic
Location: Saginaw, MI
Rate: Open & Negotiable
Shift: Days + On-Call
Start Date: TBD
End Date: N/A

Position Details:
  • Patient Population: Adults

  • Setting: Hospital, Inpatient

  • Responsibilities:

    • Perform total hip and knee arthroplasty, revision joint surgeries, and treat joint infections

    • Provide comprehensive pre- and post-operative care

    • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to enhance patient outcomes

    • Utilize advanced technologies, including the Stryker MAKO robotic system

    • Participate in on-call responsibilities (approximately 4 calls per month)

  • Required Procedures:

    • Total Hip Arthroplasty

    • Total Knee Arthroplasty

    • Revision Joint Surgery

  • EMR System: EPIC

  • Support Staff: Full team, including trauma, sports, pediatrics, hand (plastic surgery), and podiatry specialists

  • Days Per Month: Full-time

  • On-Call/Weekends: 4 calls per month

Submission Requirements:
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible (0-5 years post-fellowship) in Orthopedic Surgery from ABOS REQUIRED (No Exceptions)

  • Active Michigan license (or in process) HIGHLY PREFERRED

  • Fellowship-trained in Adult Reconstruction REQUIRED

  • 2+ years of work experience in total joint arthroplasty PREFERRED
