Job summary

CLS Health in Houston, TX is seeking a skilled X-ray Technician to provide diagnostic imaging support for orthopedic care. You will perform X-rays, educate patients, and ensure image quality in a fast-paced, safety‑driven environment.

Requirements include an Associate degree or radiologic technology certification, state licensure, and proficiency with digital radiography and PACS. You will collaborate with orthopedic physicians and staff, maintain records, and uphold HIPAA and radiation safety

Qualifications

• Associate degree or certified Radiologic Technologist required.
• State licensure and/or certification as required by state of practice.
• LMRT/ARRT certification preferred.
• 1–2 years of X-ray Technician experience.
• Proficiency with digital radiography systems and PACS.
• Strong understanding of orthopedic imaging techniques and anatomy.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform Diagnostic Imaging: execute high-quality X-rays with orthopedic protocols.
• Patient Preparation: educate and position patients; ensure comfort and safety.
• Equipment Operation & Maintenance: run and calibrate X-ray equipment; ensure safety standards.
• Collaboration with Healthcare Providers: work with orthopedic physicians and staff for timely imaging.
• Image Processing & Archiving: process images and maintain EMR records; HIPAA compliance.
• Quality Control: conduct quality checks on equipment and images; troubleshoot issues.
