Job summary

LocumTenens.com is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to provide orthopedic trauma coverage in a Level 1 trauma center in South Carolina. The role includes day shifts 6am–2pm on weekdays, plus 24-hour on-call shifts on weekends, with OR coverage and ED support.

You will perform ICU and hospital rounds, post-operative visits, and consultations for complex trauma cases, with an average daily load around 20. ACLS/ATLS certification is required. Prescriptive authority is required for this assignment.

Qualifications

• ACLS or ATLS certification required.
• Experience with reductions and wash out procedures in orthopedic trauma.
• Active Nurse Practitioner license applicable to the state.

Responsibilities

• Manage Level 1 orthopedic trauma cases with OR coverage.
• Rounding in ICU and hospital units.
• Overnight call coverage on weekends.
• Provide ED support, consultations and post-operative care.
• Average daily patient load around 20.
