Orthopedic Trauma Surgeon with Banner University Medical Group (Tucson, AZ)

Position Overview:
In partnership with the University of Arizona, Banner University Medical Group is now interviewing Orthopedic Trauma Surgeons to join the Clinical Faculty. This is an ideal opportunity for a BC/BE Orthopedic Traumatologist. The successful candidate will join the academically oriented, supportive, collegial group in Tucson, Arizona. With our thriving residency program, the qualified candidate will have an enthusiastic commitment to teaching, providing medical care to an assigned patient population and maintaining prompt and proper documentation of such care. The candidate will share weekend and nighttime call responsibilities with 4 other trauma surgeons. The qualified candidate will receive a faculty appointment consistent with their credentials and have faculty status at the University of Arizona, which includes a generous tuition discount for the applicant and immediate family members.

The Division is seeking an individual who can work with diverse students, trainees, and colleagues.

Position Details and Qualifications:

  • MD or DO AZ license upon start
  • ABMS/ABOS BC/BE Orthopedic Trauma Surgeon
  • Completion of an OTA or ACGME accredited orthopedic trauma fellowship
  • 3+ years’ post-fellowship training experience is preferred; graduating orthopedic fellows are welcome to apply
  • Qualified candidate to join a team that supports robust inpatient services, minimal outpatient
  • Potential leadership opportunity for the right candidate
