Job summary

Northeast Healthcare Recruitment seeks a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Orthopedic Trauma Surgeon for a locums opportunity at a Level II Trauma Center in San Jose, CA. The program handles approximately 600 orthopedic trauma cases annually and offers inpatient surgical care and outpatient follow-up.

Fellowship in Orthopedic Trauma required; California license or eligibility. Compensation is $4500 per shift.

Qualifications

• MD or DO required.
• Completion of Orthopedic Surgery Residency required.
• Fellowship training in Orthopedic Trauma required.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery.
• Active California medical license or eligibility for licensure.

Responsibilities

• Provides surgical care for orthopedic trauma patients.
• Performs orthopedic trauma consultations and surgical interventions.
• Participates in inpatient rounding and postoperative care.
• Provides outpatient orthopedic trauma follow-up.
• Collaborates with trauma, emergency medicine, and other surgical teams.
• Participates in quality improvement and program development.
