Ochsner Health Lafayette General in Lafayette, LA, seeks a Board Certified or Board Eligible Orthopedic Trauma Surgeon to join a premier surgical team. This role offers a rare opportunity in a Level 2 Trauma Center with modern technology and strong support from APPs and staff.

The surgeon will provide life-saving musculoskeletal care with a mix of hospital-based trauma and clinic follow-up, plus elective cases at the campus. Ochsner Health offers a competitive package and relocation assistance.

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited Orthopedic Surgery Residency and an Orthopedic Trauma Fellowship.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery.
• Eligible for unrestricted medical licensure in Louisiana.
• Proficiency in complex fracture management, pelvic/acetabular trauma, and post-traumatic reconstruction.

Responsibilities

• Provide life-saving musculoskeletal trauma care in a Level 2 trauma setting.
• Balance hospital-based trauma response with clinic follow-up.
• Perform elective cases at the Orthopedic Campus as needed.
