Job summary

UofL Health in Louisville seeks an Orthopedic PA or APRN to join our Level 1 Trauma Center team. You will provide postoperative and in-clinic care, perform hospital consults, and collaborate with orthopedic surgeons to deliver high-quality patient care.

The ideal candidate holds a Master of Nursing, Kentucky APRN licensure, and national certification in applicable specialties, with strong communication and clinical reasoning skills.

Qualifications

• Master of Nursing degree from an accredited institution.
• Current licensure in Kentucky as an APRN.
• National certification as APRN (e.g. Adult, Family, or Acute Care).
• Current DEA certificate and BLS; ACLS certification.
• Ability to provide orthopedic postoperative and trauma care.

Responsibilities

• Assess and manage postoperative care in clinic and hospital settings.
• Conduct hospital consults for orthopedic patients in trauma and inpatient settings.
• Collaborate with orthopedic surgeons and other professionals to deliver quality care.
• Follow up with patients 2-3 days after discharge.
• Maintain compliance with HIPAA and organizational policies.
• Maintain professional certification and participate in continuing education.
