Responsibilities

Level-1 Orthopaedic Trauma Surgeon at Dignity Health Medical Group - Arizona, based out of Chandler Regional Medical Center (CRMC). The role includes coverage at Mercy Gilbert Medical Center, with emergent coverage potentially at St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center. The work schedule involves a 1:6 call rotation, with full APP call coverage 24/7. The surgeon will work with dedicated 3 ortho trauma OR rooms/staff, available 7 days a week. This is an academic position affiliated with Creighton Medical School – Phoenix.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

• MD/DO with Fellowship Training and American Board Certification in Orthopedic Trauma
• Must have or be eligible for Arizona state medical license
• Completion of an ACGME accredited residency program with current ABMS board certification
• A passion for providing clinically excellent care
• Ability to achieve full and unrestricted hospital privileges at Dignity Health Arizona hospitals

Overview

The Dignity Health Medical Group is seeking an Orthopedic Trauma Surgeon for our Level 1 Trauma Center in the East Valley of the Phoenix Metro area. The surgeon will report to the Chief of Orthopedic Trauma Physician Services and ultimately to the Chair of Orthopedics for employment, professional, and quality responsibilities. The role involves participation in the development of the growing Orthopedic Department and may include recruitment and hiring responsibilities.
