Job summary

AdventHealth in Littleton, CO seeks an experienced Advanced Practice Provider to join the Orthopedic Trauma Team. You will deliver post-operative care, manage general medicine needs, and function as a surgical assistant to the orthopedic surgeon.

The role requires trauma and ortho expertise, and a Colorado PA/NP license with ATLS and BLS certifications. The position is full-time, on-site with weekend on-call responsibilities, offering a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package

Qualifications

2 years Level II Trauma and Orthopedic experience required.
No new grads.
On/Call weekend required.
Master's degree and certification from an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program.
Current Colorado Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner license.
Current Basic Life Support - CPR cert.
Knowledge of local, state and federal regulations regarding delivery and billing of healthcare services.
ATLS Certification is required.

Responsibilities

Transmit/prescribe orders per written protocols.
Perform initial and ongoing assessments and discharge planning.
Document patient care findings using CPOE.
Coordinate care with surgeons and team to obtain services.
Provide timely reports of patients' condition to surgeons and multidisciplinary team.
Collaborate with care teams on LOS and discharge planning.
Assist the orthopedic surgeon as a surgical team member.
Reassess patients and revise plans as needed.
Ensure documentation supports quality indicators and CMS requirements.
