Job summary

Banner Health is seeking an Orthopedic Technologist for Banner Scottsdale Sports Medicine in Scottsdale, AZ. The role supports providers in orthopedic care, including applying casts, splints, DME, and wound care, while coordinating documentation and patient flow.

Location: Scottsdale; Schedule: Mon-Fri 8:00am-4:30pm with potential coverage at related Banner sites. Requires ROT/OTC/ATC certification and current BLS, plus strong computer and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Must hold ROT certification from ASOP or OTC from NBCOT, or ATC via BOC, with eligibility to obtain ROT/OTC/ATC within 6 months.
• Current BLS certification is required.
• One year experience in hospital or physician practice with medical terminology and billing/coding knowledge.
• Proficiency with medical software and strong interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Applies, adjusts and removes casts, splints, and immobilization devices; measures and fits braces.
• Communicates pre- and post-operative care instructions to patients.
• Accurately documents information in patient records and supports orthopedic dept.
• Orders, tracks and maintains product inventory; replenishes supplies for exam rooms.
• Maintains clean, functional environment and coordinates maintenance when needed.
• Works under supervision handling patient experience and cross-functional collaboration.
