Job summary

Elliot Orthopaedics, a department of Elliot Hospital, Manchester, NH, is seeking an Orthopedic Technologist to join our team, providing skilled orthopedic care across surgical and non-surgical procedures.

The role emphasizes direct patient care, equipment handling, and collaboration with medical staff in both inpatient and operating room settings. Training for low census locations is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of an orthopedic training program or ASOP certification must be obtained within 3 months.
• Previous clinical experience preferred.
• National Board of Certification of Orthopaedic Technologists or ASOP registration preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct and indirect orthopedic care to patients by applying, adjusting, maintaining, and removing orthopedic equipment per medical staff orders.
• Instructs patients and families on utilization of orthopaedic equipment and appliances.
• Directly assists medical staff in the orthopedic room, inpatient units, and operating room.
• Accepts telephone orders from physicians within scope and Elliot Hospital policies; verbal orders only in emergencies.
• Applies fracture braces on physician written orders.
• Assists in daily office functions including exam room turnover, data entry, and scheduling.
