AdventHealth seeks a dedicated Orthopedic Technician I to support patient care in a dynamic hospital environment. This role involves assisting with orthopedic tasks, ensuring effective communication, and maintaining documentation standards. Schedule: PRN
Shift: Saturday and Sunday from 8pm-8am

The role you’ll contribute:
Provides routine designated tasks related to the efficient and cost-effective operation of the department. Is part of an interdisciplinary team assisting with patient care.

Responds to orders in a timely manner, per department guidelines.
Supplies and applies soft goods and off the shelf braces to patients as ordered by the Physicians or Scope of Practice, on a timely manner.
Communicates information clearly and precisely to fellow technicians 100% of the time so that coverage will not be affected by change of staffing as observed by the manager.
Documents accurately, completely, and timely with legible handwriting, using measurable terminology and acceptable abbreviations.
Participates in practice changes as a result of performance improvements activities. Supports quality standards and initiatives set by the department.
Willingly adjusts and adapts to changes in patient census by altering working hours to assist in other centers/programs/areas as approved and observed by manager. Participates and complies with on-call schedule and duties as defined by department standards of practice.
Practices principles of employee and patient safety when performing daily job activities via observation.
Qualifications
What You Will Need:
BLS Certificate
Previous orthopedic technician experience (Preferred)
High school diploma or GED (Preferred)
