Job summary

Northern Arizona Orthopedics is seeking a Part-Time Orthopedic Technician to support clinical operations at our Flagstaff location. You will assist with casts and traction equipment, educate patients on cast care and DME usage, and manage inventory and related logs.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, plus training in Sports Medicine/Orthopedic Tech or Medical Assistant programs, or 1 year of relevant experience. EMR experience and strong organization are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge preferred.
• Completion of Sports Medicine or Orthopedic Technician training or Medical Assistant program, or at least one year of previous job-related experience with a medical facility preferred.
• Knowledge of DME and DME inventory management.
• Experience using an EMR system.

Responsibilities

• Applies and adjusts fiberglass casts and related devices as directed by the physician.
• Educates patients on cast/splint care and proper use of DME items.
• Maintains clinic DME stock and logs; places orders using par levels.
• Coordinates with Rapid Auth Team on patient financial responsibility and payment options.
• Provides coverage at CORE clinic locations and supports staff training.
