AssistswithplacingpatientsintotractionandadjuststractionequipmentasorderedbyPhysiciansandAdvancePracticeProviders. Other duties as assigned. Assistswithorappliesandremovescastsandsplints,includingtrimmingandmodificationofcastsandDMEfittingforpatients. Assistsphysicianswithminorofficeprocedures,bedside/inpatientminorprocedures,woundcare,woundvacapplication,and/oroperatingroomassistance, as applicable Triagesclinicalcallstofacilitatepatientquestionsandconcernsspecifictoorthopedictechnicianresponsibilities Adjustsandadaptstochangesinpatientvolumebyalteringworkinghourstoassistinothercenters,programs, inclusive of on-call scheduled as defined by department and as applicable. Documentsaccurately,thoroughly,andtimelyusingmeasurableterminologyandacceptableabbreviations. Participatesinpracticechangesresultingfromperformanceimprovementactivitiesandsupportsdepartmentalqualitystandardsandinitiatives. ProvidespatienteducationoncastcareandDMEequipment. Managesdocumentation,supplyordering,andrelationshipswithDMEproviders. Communicatesinformationclearlyandpreciselytoteammemberstoensurecoverageisnotaffectedbystaffingchanges. Providesinpatient and/or outpatientservicesconsistentwiththedailydutiesofanorthopedicpractice. Respondstoorders/tasksinatimelymanner,perdepartmentguidelines. Completespatientintakeandrooming,includingheight,weight,andpatienthistory.
