Job summary

Nemours Children's Health in Orlando, FL is seeking an Orthopedic Tech I (Full-Time) to join our team. Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00AM - 4:30PM with flexibility; travel throughout Central Florida is required, including NCH and surrounding clinics.

This role handles casting, equipment management, patient rooming, and assisting providers. Responsibilities include documentation in EMR, preparing exam rooms, and coordinating procedures and testing with pre-authorization.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; specialized training beyond HS.
• 1–3 years of experience.
• AHA BLS certified on hire.
• Travel to satellite locations.

Responsibilities

• Casting and application/removal of casts, splints and soft goods.
• Assist providers to expedite patient care.
• Instruct patients/guardians on cast care and equipment.
• Inventory management of casting materials, splints and soft goods.
• Room patients, obtain vital signs, document in EMR, prepare exam rooms.
• Schedule PT/OT, surgery and tests with pre-authorization.
