Orthopedic Physicians Alaska seeks a Physician Assistant (Ortho/Surgical) to join our growing team at Lake Otis, Anchorage. Schedule is Mon-Fri, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm; OR days start at 7:00 am.

This role provides exams, prescriptions, and a broad range of diagnostic and therapeutic services in orthopedic surgery under physician supervision. We offer a signing bonus after 90 days of full-time employment, competitive salaries, comprehensive medical/dental, FSA or HSA, life and disability insurance,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and successful completion of accredited physician assistant program.
• Four (4) years of health care experience prior to applying to PA program.
• One (1) year of experience as PA, preferably in clinical setting.
• National PA-C certification.

Responsabilités

• Conduct physical exams and assess health status.
• Order and interpret tests; prescribe medications.
• First assist in surgery cases; participate in rounds.
• Triage patient calls and evaluate problems; monitor therapies.
• Collaborate with physicians on complex cases; educate patients.
