Job summary

Essentia Health is seeking an experienced Athletic Trainer to provide comprehensive care in a surgical orthopedics clinic. You will perform evaluation, education, treatment, and consultation under an orthopedic surgeon, with duties spanning administration, patient throughput, and direct patient care.

Responsibilities include triage, documenting in Epic EMR, and coordinating with a multidisciplinary team. Candidates must hold BOC certification and CAATE-accredited training, with licensure in good

Qualifications

• BOC certification required upon hire.
• CAATE-accredited program graduate with successful BOC certification.
• OTC or BCS-O certification preferred or able to sit after hire.
• Registered by Board of Medical Practice per state guidelines.
• BLS/CPR certification required.
• Basic computer competency expected.

Responsibilities

• Manage and administer physician practice operations.
• Anticipate provider needs and liaise with the care team.
• Schedule patient appointments per provider templates and clinic flow.
• Triage patients and present relevant information to the provider.
