Qualifications

• Must have Texas Medical Board Surgical Assistant license or ABSA/NSAA certification.
• Active BLS or ACLS certifications from AHA or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years orthopedic surgical assisting experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and proficient medical terminology.
• Proficiency with procedures such as Total Knee Arthroplasty, Mako Robot, Distal Radius ORIF, Radial Shaft ORIF, and Total Hip Arthroplasty.
• Foreign MDs must pass the TOEFL test.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Must have completed an accredited medical assisting program and a supervised externship.
• High school diploma or GED.
