Job summary

AMN Healthcare is seeking a Physician Assistant specialized in Orthopedic Trauma Surgery for locum tenens coverage in South Carolina. Shift patterns include primary 6:00 am–2:00 pm with additional call options, and ongoing coverage across 5–7 days per week.

The role focuses on trauma cases, fractures, postoperative care, and hospital coverage in an inpatient setting, with credentialing expected within 30 days and EMR using eClinicalWorks.

Qualifications

• Active SC PA license is required.
• SC DEA and CDS registrations are required before applying.
• ACLS or ATLS certifications preferred or required.

Responsibilities

• Provide Orthopedic Trauma Surgery coverage in an inpatient setting.
• Perform fracture reductions, washouts, and postoperative care.
• Manage trauma call coverage and hospital rounds.
• Coordinate with surgical team for on-call scheduling.

StartDate: ASAP Available Shifts: 12 Pay Rate: $106.70 - $115.50

This facility is seeking a Physician Assistant (PA) – Orthopedic Trauma Surgery for locum tenens support as they look to fill a current need.

Details and requirements for this opportunity:

Schedule: Ongoing coverage; 5–7 days per week. Primary shift 6:00 am–2:00 pm. Additional shifts available: Day, Night, and Weekend 24-hour call coverage.

Practice Setting: Inpatient hospital setting

Types of Cases: Orthopedic trauma surgery, fracture reductions, washouts, trauma consults, hospital coverage, post-operative care, and trauma call coverage.

Credentialing Timeframe: 30 days

Electronic Medical Record (EMR): eClinicalWorks.

Certifications Required: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), or Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS

Licensure Required: Active South Carolina PA license required. South Carolina DEA and South Carolina Controlled Substances Registration (CDS) are required prior to application.
