Job summary

Washington Permanente Medical Group (WPMG) is hiring a full-time Physician Assistant-Certified to join our Orthopedic team in Tacoma, WA. This role supports both inpatient and outpatient care within a multi-disciplinary orthopedic service, with travel between sites as needed.

We offer a comprehensive compensation package including base salary, annual bonuses, retirement contributions, and generous paid time off. New hire incentives include a signing bonus and relocation assistance.

Qualifications

  • Preferred: Minimum two years of surgical experience.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting in surgery with inpatient and outpatient cases.
  • Evaluating and managing patients in the outpatient clinic at all points in the care continuum.
  • Community Hospital Rounding & Inpatient management.
  • Consultations in urgent care and ED if needed to amplify efficiencies.
  • Shared Call Responsibilities with additional pay earned from overnight and weekend call.

Summary

Kaiser Permanente - Washington Permanente Medical Group (WPMG) is seeking a full-time Physician Assistant-Certified to join our Orthopedic team based in Tacoma, Washington. We have outlying sites in Olympia and Silverdale, as well as our main site in Tacoma. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of an integrated care delivery system that prioritizes evidence-based medicine, patient-centered care, and physician collaboration.

Position Highlights

This is a multi-disciplinary practice involving the full breadth of orthopedics. Orthopedics at WPMG does NOT treat backs or spine patients. There is a team spirit of collaboration with an emphasis on continuous learning, education, quality improvement, and standardization of care and best practices. We have a full multi-disciplinary team of 9 physician assistants and 9 surgeons and robust support staff including RNs and MAs. Travel between sites may be required.

Compensation and Benefits
  • Salary Range: $170,638 to $200,751 Compensation will be prorated based on FTE. Starting salary for new hires is determined by factors including education, training, and relevant experience. The salary posted includes standing call coverage and is based on an estimated call schedule of 1:8; actual compensation may vary depending on call coverage needs and requirements. Additional compensation is provided for activated call responsibilities.
