Job summary

Washington Permanente Medical Group in Tacoma, WA is seeking a full-time Physician Assistant-Certified to join our Orthopedic team. This role supports a multidisciplinary practice, participates in surgical cases, and helps manage patients across the care continuum at multiple sites.

The ideal candidate holds NCCPA certification, has surgical experience (orthopedics preferred), and can obtain WA licensure and DEA.

Qualifications

• NCCPA Certification is required.
• Minimum two years of surgical experience preferred.
• Orthopedic surgery experience preferred.
• Ability to obtain Unrestricted Federal DEA license.
• Ability to obtain WA State Medical License.

Responsibilities

• Assisting in surgery with inpatient and outpatient cases.
• Evaluating and managing patients in the outpatient clinic.
• Community hospital rounding and inpatient management.
• Consultations in urgent care and ED as needed to improve efficiencies.
• Shared call responsibilities with additional pay for overnight and weekend call.
