Qualifications

• Physician Assistant Program or certificate equivalent.
• 1 year of clinical experience.
• NCCPA certification and PA licensure in the state.
• BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Provides general surgical assistant services in operating room.
• Assists surgeon with prepping and until completion of procedure.
• Removes drains, tubes and catheters.
• Closes incisions.
• Assists with patient office visits and assumes call when assigned.
• Performs charting, summaries and required paperwork for care and billing.
• Participates in physician educational programs related to capitated medicine.
