Job summary

Piedmont Orthopedics in Athens is seeking a board-certified orthopedic surgeon to service the Monroe, GA community. The Monroe satellite sits on the Piedmont Walton Hospital campus and offers an opportunity to join a nationally recognized health system serving the University of Georgia students in the Athens community.

The ideal candidate will anchor the satellite, collaborate with a PA, and help grow the orthopedic program with Athens surgeons; subspecialties include general orthopedics, sports

Qualifications

• Board-certified orthopedic surgeon as satellite anchor with PA support.
• Willingness to lead and develop the orthopedic program with Athens surgeons.
• Experience in subspecialties listed: general orthopedics, sports medicine, joint/reconstruction, trauma, hand, foot & ankle.

Responsibilities

• Anchor the satellite orthopedic service at Monroe.
• Collaborate with a PA and rotating subspecialists.
• Drive program development and quality care in partnership with Athens team.

Piedmont Orthopedics in Athens is seeking a board-certified orthopedic surgeon to service our community in Monroe, GA. The Piedmont Athens satellite location in Monroe is located on the Piedmont Walton Hospital campus. This is a great opportunity to join a nationally recognized healthcare system serving the University of Georgia students in the Athens community.

Skills

The ideal candidate is a board certified orthopedic surgeon who would be the anchor of the satellite working with a PA while other subspecialty orthopedic surgeons rotate through the satellite. The best candidate suited for this position will want to pursue an interest in the community surrounding Piedmont Walton Hospital and also possess leadership skills to further develop the orthopedic program partnering with current Orthopedic surgeons in Athens. The current practice includes:

• General orthopedics
• Sports Medicine
• Joint/Adult Reconstruction
• Trauma orthopedic surgery
• Hand/Wrist surgery
• Foot/ Ankle surgery
