Job Overview

MRIoA is a national Independent Review Organization that facilitates the review of medical claims to determine treatment appropriateness.

Qualifications
  • General Orthopedic Surgeons, including those with fellowship training in Spine, Shoulder and Elbow, or Hip and Knee.
  • Must hold a Minnesota state medical license.
  • Must be an MD or DO, Board Certified in Orthopedic Surgery, with at least 5 years of patient care experience.
  • Fellowship training in Spine, Shoulder & Elbow, and/or Hip & Knee preferred.
  • Must be a US Citizen or hold a Green Card.
Job Responsibilities
  1. Review Prior Authorizations for treatment, applying nationally accepted medical and healthcare plan guidelines.
  2. Provide unbiased, expert assessments while ensuring compliance with ERISA/DOL and state regulations.
  3. Work remotely from anywhere in the US, with patient records not leaving the country.
  4. Work as little as 1-2 hours per week, with most cases taking 30-60 minutes.

  • Work environment involves sitting at a desk, using a PC, telephone, and basic office equipment.
  • This is an independent contractor (1099) opportunity.
