We are seeking an Orthopedic Surgeon / Orthopedist to join our full-time medical practice in Camp Springs, MD. The ideal candidate is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon or non-surgical orthopedist trained in general orthopedics. Join a vertically integrated musculoskeletal practice specializing in diagnosis and treatment of patients injured in motor vehicle accidents and work-related injuries. Our practice also includes specialties such as neurology, physical medicine and rehabilitation, internal medicine, primary care, and chiropractic/physical therapy. In-house services include physical therapy, chiropractic, aquatic therapy with land-based strengthening, work conditioning, vestibular and cognitive therapy, Functional Capacity Evaluations, electrodiagnostic, interventional pain management, and x-rays.

The primary administrative duty is providing timely and accurate documentation/reports of patient visits. Surgical services are provided at local outpatient surgery centers or hospitals. We consider both operative and non-operative orthopedists. Coverage locations include our offices in southern Maryland (Camp Springs, Waldorf, Hyattsville) and Alexandria, VA.

Job Duties:

  • Provide quality patient care and management
  • Recommend tests and conduct diagnostics to assess injuries and determine treatment
  • Oversee diagnosis and treatment of occupational or motor vehicle injuries
  • Prepare patients for return to work post-illness or injury
  • Perform surgery when necessary (if an operative orthopedist)
  • Ensure timely and accurate documentation for high-volume personal injury cases
  • Occasionally provide expert testimony in litigation cases
  • Collaborate with colleagues and staff for comprehensive care
  • Uphold the company's mission of exceptional patient care and leadership

Requirements:

  • MD/DO from an accredited institution
  • Unrestricted medical license in VA and MD
  • Board Certified in Orthopedic Surgery
  • Favorable malpractice history
  • Basic Life Support/Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification
  • DEA license

Schedule: Full-time

Salary: $450k-$520k
