Qualifications

• US citizenship required; non-citizens may be considered only if VA policy allows.
• MD or DO degree from a school approved by VA at time of graduation.
• Current full and unrestricted medical license in the United States or District of Columbia.
• Completion of an ACGME/AOA accredited residency in an approved core specialty.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English.
• Ability to meet physical requirements including lifting and manual dexterity.

Responsibilities

• Orthopedic surgical procedures including arthritis-related surgeries and joint replacements.
• Supervise and teach orthopedic residents and medical students.
• Provide outpatient clinic consultations and inpatient rounds.
• Participate in hospital and service committees and quality improvement activities.
