Job summary

HCRC consulting seeks an Orthopedic Surgeon with surgical privileges to join our medical practice full time in Glen Burnie and Hyattsville MD. The ideal candidate is board-certified in Orthopedic Surgery with privileges at local hospitals, joining an integrated musculoskeletal team focused on motor vehicle accident and workers' compensation injuries.

Our practice includes neurology, physical medicine, internal medicine, primary care, and chiropractic/therapy services.

Qualifications

• MD/DO from an accredited educational institution.
• Unrestricted license to practice medicine in Maryland.
• Board Certified in Orthopedic Surgery.
• Favorable malpractice history.
• BLS/ACLS certification.
• DEA license.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality patient care and management.
• Recommend tests and conducts diagnostic testing to determine extent of injury and to determine appropriate treatment.
• Oversee the patient’s diagnosis and treatment of occupational or motor vehicle injuries.
• Prepare patients for return to work after illness or injury.
• Ensure timely and accurate documentation for personal injury cases and reports.
• Perform Orthopedic Surgery with surgical privileges at surrounding hospitals.
• Collaborate with colleagues and staff for comprehensive patient care.

Job description

We are seeking an Orthopedic Surgeon with surgical privileges to join our medical practice full time in Glen Burnie and Hyattsville MD. Ideally, we are looking for a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon, trained in general orthopedics with surgical privileges at the local hospitals, to join an integrated musculoskeletal practice specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of patients injured in motor vehicle accidents and work-related injuries. Additional specialties within the practice include neurology, physical medicine and rehabilitation, internal medicine, primary care, and chiropractic/physical therapy. In house services include physical therapy and chiropractic, (including aquatic therapy with land-based strengthening, work conditioning and work hardening, vestibular and cognitive therapy, and Functional Capacity Evaluations), electrodiagnostic, interventional pain management and x-rays. We have offices in Glen Burnie and Hyattsville, and the physician will be covering both locations.

Job Duties

Requirements

• MD/DO from an accredited educational institution
• Unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of Maryland
• Board Certified in Orthopedic Surgery (general orthopedic surgeon)
• Favorable malpractice history
• Basic Life Support/Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification
• DEA license
