Job summary

Mercor is hiring board-certified orthopedic surgeons (MDs and DOs) to evaluate health AI models in partnership with a leading AI lab. You will read de-identified patient charts and judge AI answers to clinical questions in orthopedic surgery.

Remote and hourly, with flexible part-time hours. Start date: immediate. You will evaluate AI answers for clinical accuracy, check against charts, and write structured rationales to ensure rigor, safety, and adherence to current standards of care.

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
• Board certified in ABOS Orthopaedic Surgery.
• Active, unrestricted US medical license.
• Residency completed; fellowship if required.
• Currently practicing in the US with 1+ year of independent practice.
• 3+ years post-training experience preferred.
• Clear written communication and close attention to detail.

• Currently practicing and seeing patients in the US, with at least 1 year of independent practice after training
• 3+ years of post-training experience strongly preferred
• Clear written communication and close attention to detail
