Florida Atlantic University’s FAU Charles E. Schmidt College of Medicine seeks a dynamic Orthopedic Surgeon to join our clinical faculty at the rank of Assistant/Associate/Full Professor.

The appointee will diagnose, treat, and surgically manage musculoskeletal disorders and injuries while delivering compassionate care within the Florida Atlantic Medical Group. The role emphasizes teaching, mentorship, and scholarly activity in a thriving community-based medical school.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited institution.
• Florida medical license, or ability to obtain one, and ABMS Board certification or eligibility in Orthopedic Surgery.
• Demonstrated commitment to academic teaching, scholarship, and community engagement.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive orthopedic care, including evaluation and management of musculoskeletal conditions.
• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic orthopedic surgical procedures.
• Manage acute and chronic orthopedic conditions using evidence-based approaches.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe and coordinated care.
• Participate in hospital and community-based outreach programs to expand access to orthopedic care.
• Engage in clinical research, quality improvement, or public health initiatives related to orthopedic surgery.
• Share scholarly efforts through conference presentations and peer-reviewed publications.
