UChicago Medicine Medical Group seeks an exceptional Orthopedic Surgeon to join a well-established and growing practice with a quick clinical ramp up.

Orthopedic Surgeon, Physician Roles and Responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat disorders related to the musculoskeletal system.
• Perform orthopedic surgeries, including joint replacements, fracture repair, and arthroscopic procedures.
• Develop and implement patient treatment plans in collaboration with medical staff.
• Provide pre-operative and post-operative care to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Stay updated on the latest advancements in orthopedic medicine.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to enhance patient care.
• Knowledge of legal and ethical standards for the delivery of medical care.
• Knowledge of relevant drugs and non-pharmaceutical patient care aids and ability to prescribe dosages and instruct patients in correct usage.
• Knowledge of related accreditation and certification requirements.
• Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Medical License in Illinois.
• Board certified or Board Eligible in Specified Area of Medical Specialty.
• 3-5 years of experience is preferred.
• Completed a US Residency Program.
• Strong surgical and diagnostic skills.

Orthopedic Surgeon, Opportunity Highlights:

• The position consists of Monday-Friday outpatient clinic at Calumet City and Tinley Park and performing orthopedic surgeries at UChicago Medicine Ingalls Memorial Hospital.
• Clinics are staffed with Medical Assistants, Nurses, and Physician Assistants.

• Compensation Range - $375,000 - $625,000.
