Job summary

U.S. Army 1st Medical Recruiting Battalion seeks an Orthopedic Surgeon to join the Army Medical Department. You’ll learn advanced procedures and contribute to groundbreaking bone and tissue research while serving Soldiers and supporting humanitarian missions.

Applicants must hold an MD/DO from an accredited US school, have a current US license, be board eligible, and complete an orthopedic surgery training program. US citizenship is required; age 21–42.

Qualifications

• Doctor of medicine or osteopathy from an accredited U.S. school.
• Current license to practice medicine in the United States (US/DC/PR).
• Eligibility for board certification.
• Completion of at least one year of an approved graduate medical education internship.
• Completion of a training program in orthopedic surgery.
• Between 21 and 42 years of age (waivers on a case-by-case basis).

Requirements:

• Doctor of medicine or doctor of osteopathy degree from an accredited U.S. school of medicine or osteopathy; foreign graduates may apply with permanent certificate from the Educational Council of Foreign Medical Graduates

• Current license to practice medicine in the United States, District of Columbia or Puerto Rico

• Eligibility for board certification

• Completion of at least one year of an approved graduate medical education internship

• Completion of a training program in orthopedic surgery

• Between 21 and 42 years of age (waivers granted on a case-by-case basis)
