Job summary

CHI St. Anthony Hospital in Pendleton, Oregon is seeking an Orthopedic Surgeon to diagnose and treat a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions and perform diverse surgical procedures including joint replacements.

The ideal candidate will have an MD or DO, board certification or eligibility in Surgery, an Oregon medical license, and strong communication skills to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.

  • Oregon medical license and DEA certificate (implied).
  • Specialty training at an ACGME accredited facility.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and treat musculoskeletal conditions across the spectrum.
  • Perform surgical procedures including fracture repair, tendon/ligament repair, and joint replacements.
  • Provide comprehensive patient management from consultation to aftercare and collaboration with other providers.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Orthopedic Surgeon, you will diagnose and treat a wide array of musculoskeletal conditions, ranging from scoliosis and fractures to complex damage involving tendons, muscles, and ligaments. Your expertise will be instrumental in improving musculoskeletal health through diverse surgical procedures including repairing, salvaging, or replacing bones and joints, and reconnecting nerves. This role emphasizes comprehensive patient management, from initial consultation and treatment planning to extensive aftercare and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Every day you will consult with patients and conduct thorough examinations to diagnose bone, joint, ligament, or other musculoskeletal problems. You will perform various surgical procedures such as repairing broken bones, reattaching tendons and ligaments, or executing joint and hip replacements.

To be successful in this role, you will be a highly skilled Orthopedic Surgeon possessing a comprehensive understanding of musculoskeletal defects, diseases, and disorders. This requires proven expertise in orthopedic surgery, an unwavering commitment to detailed patient care, and exceptional collaboration skills to work effectively with specialists, physical therapists, and other healthcare providers. Your dedication to guiding patients through treatment options and ensuring thorough aftercare is paramount for optimizing musculoskeletal health and patient satisfaction.
