Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform diagnostic general radiology procedures using various imaging systems. You will work with radiologists, review patient data, and ensure imaging quality and safety in accordance with protocols.

The role includes administering contrast as needed, maintaining equipment, and supporting cross-training and training of staff. Sign-on and relocation bonuses are available for qualifying candidates.

Qualifications

• BLS certification obtained within 30 days.
• ARRT Radiography certification within 1 year.
• Licensed Radiologic Technologist – Radiography (IEMA).
• Associate’s degree in a related field and Radiologic Technology certificate.
• Work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform radiographic procedures by acquiring and processing patient exams per protocols.
• Review cases with the radiologist when appropriate.
• Review labs and patient history to select correct exam.
• Administer IV and oral/rectal contrast as applicable.
• Recognize and respond to adverse or allergic reactions.
• Maintain imaging equipment and workplace organization.
• Transfer and verify image data in PACS for Radiologist interpretation.
• Assist in instruction of students and new staff as necessary.

ARRT Radiography Certification

IEMA Radiologic Technologist License

Associate’s Degree: Related Field

Certificate of Completion: Radiologic Technology
