Position Summary

The Athletic Trainer in our sports medicine clinic provides medical care and support to athletes and individuals involved in sports or physical activities. Responsibilities include injury prevention, assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation, aiming to promote the health, well-being, and performance of athletes.

Job Duties:

• Develop injury prevention programs and educate athletes, coaches, and patients on safety and proper techniques.
• Assess and evaluate sports injuries using diagnostic tools, collaborating with healthcare providers for treatment planning.
• Administer first aid and emergency care, develop individualized treatment plans, and monitor rehabilitation progress.
• Coordinate injury management with healthcare professionals and advise on return-to-play decisions.
• Educate on injury prevention, nutrition, hydration, and wellness.
• Maintain accurate medical records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with legal standards.
• Develop emergency action plans and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings.
• Stay current with research and advancements in sports medicine.
• Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling and record management.

Skills & Abilities

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Athletic Training or related field required.

Experience: Prefer 2 years of experience.

Licensing & Certification: Kansas Licensure, BOC Certification, and CPR certification required.
