Job summary

The University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus in Aurora invites applications for an Advanced Practice Provider (PA/NP/APRN) in Orthopedic Spine. This full-time Instructor position is based in Longmont and involves clinical and academic duties in the School of Medicine, Orthopedics.

The role requires Colorado PA licensure or APRN registry, NCCPA certification, CPR/BLS, and prior spine experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• State of Colorado Certified Physician's Assistant or APRN registration.
• NCCPA certification required.
• CPR/BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Obtain patient history and perform physical exams; provide direct patient care for musculoskeletal conditions.
• Write prescriptions and order therapies as needed.
• Document care in electronic medical record and prepare teaching materials.
• Assist in pre-op, intra-op and post-op care and coordinate with the surgical team.
• Provide health education to patients and families; supervise students and residents as needed.
• Participate in educational programs and community outreach; cover on-call duties as required.
• Develop written treatment protocols and assist in research/publications as needed.
